Terms of Service

These terms are short because the arrangement is simple: the app runs on your device, your records stay yours, and Apple handles any payment. By using Bumzy, or by sending a memory through a Bumzy link, you agree to them.

1. The service

Bumzy is a pet health record app for iPhone and Apple Watch. It lets you keep profiles, health logs, vitals, medications, vaccinations, appointments and emergency details for your pets, set reminders, ask questions of an on-device assistant, and, in Forever, keep the memories of a pet who has passed away.

"We" and "us" in these terms means the developer of Bumzy, reachable at the address in the Contact section.

2. Not veterinary advice

Bumzy is a record-keeping tool. It stores what you enter and shows it back to you. Nothing in the app, including charts, summaries, reminders and anything the AI Vet assistant says, is a diagnosis, an assessment of your pet's health, or a substitute for a veterinarian.

The assistant is a general-information tool that can be wrong. Never start, stop or change a medication or treatment because of something the app shows.

If your pet is unwell, or you think it may be an emergency, contact your vet or an emergency clinic straight away.

3. Forever is not therapy

Forever offers gentle tools for remembering a pet. It is not counselling or medical care. The support services it lists are independent organisations; please contact them, or your local emergency number, if you need help.

4. Purchases

Bumzy is free. Optional tips are one-off purchases made through the App Store; they unlock nothing. Payment is taken by Apple under the App Store terms, and refunds are handled by Apple. Earlier versions sold Bumzy Pro as a one-time purchase and as a monthly plan. Neither is sold any more and every feature is now free; a monthly plan that was still running no longer renews and ends at the end of the period already paid for.

5. Your records are yours

Everything you put into Bumzy remains your property. We claim no licence to it and never receive it, except what you choose to send through Memories from others, which bumzy.app holds only as the Privacy Policy describes. You can edit or delete it whenever you like.

6. Memories from others

If you send a memory through a Bumzy link, send only words and photos that are yours to share, that are lawful, and that you are happy for the pet's owner to keep. The owner decides whether to keep what you send. We may delete anything sent through a link, or turn a link off, to stop misuse.

If you create a link, share it only with people you want to hear from. Anyone with the link can send a memory until it expires or you turn it off.

7. Acceptable use

Use Bumzy only for keeping records of your pets and their memories, and only in ways that are lawful. Do not try to reverse-engineer, copy or resell the app, overload or interfere with bumzy.app, or interfere with the App Store's purchase system.

Keep your device secure. Because there is no account, anyone who can unlock your device can see your pet records.

8. Limitation of liability

Bumzy and bumzy.app are provided as is. We work to keep them accurate and reliable, but we cannot promise they are free of errors, that a reminder will always fire, that iCloud sync or bumzy.app will always be available, or that a memory sent through a link will always arrive.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or harm, including harm to a pet, arising from using or relying on the app, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

9. Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The current version is always in the app and on this page, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use Bumzy after a change means you accept the new terms.
